About Us

Microfinance Lebanon “MFL” is the flagship initiative of Sustainable Community Development Network SCDN, a Lebanese NGO established in Beirut on June 9, 2010 by decree number 1154 issued by The Ministry of Interior and Municipalities.

MFL was launched in June 2021 on a mission to enable Entrepreneurs and SMEs resume business operations in the area directly affected by the August 4th, 2020 Beirut Port massive explosion.
Since then, MFL expanded its operations to all Lebanese areas and economic sectors targeting most promising and socially responsible projects.
MFL goal is to create and maintain JOBS, generate REVENUES, energize LOCAL ECONOMIES and promote GROWTH and FINANCIAL INCLUSION.
MFL is committed to Good Governance that is participatory, transparent, accountable, effective and equitable and promotes the rule of law

Services

MFL allows Lebanese Entrepreneurs and mSMEs who lack access to legal credit sources and/or banking to access small business loans safely, and in a manner that is consistent with ethical lending practices.

For Eligible and Productive projects MFL provides:
